Expanded data collection with native Xbox SDK

mParticle expands data collection capabilities with support of Microsoft Xbox SDK, enabling marketers to expand the breadth of their data collection.

Latest release arms brands with the tools to map the entire customer journey across all digital platforms

NEW YORK, NY–(December 14, 2017) – mParticle, the leading customer data platform, announced the general availability of its native Xbox SDK. With this launch, mParticle can now support native client-side data collection across more than 10 digital platforms including desktop and mobile web, Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), iOS, Android, tvOS, Roku, React Native, and more. Brands using mParticle will be able to collect data from their Xbox games and apps, unify it with customer data ingested from other platforms, and seamlessly connect unified customer profiles to any of the 175+ leading marketing and analytics platforms.

As the digital experience has shifted from web-only to a series of connected experiences across several devices and platforms, consumers are interacting with brands in more ways than ever, including mobile, gaming and over-the-top (OTT) video, and more. In fact, Gartner has predicted the average US adult will have 6 connected devices by 2020*. mParticle helps brands unify data and deliver optimized and personalized experiences across digital touchpoints by connecting their data to preferred marketing and analytics systems in real time.

“As the customer experience continues to become more decentralized, there is a  greater need to centralize all customer data,” said mParticle co-founder and CEO, Michael Katz. “Adding Xbox support is just the next step in helping our customers get the most complete view of their customers. We will continue to add support for more platforms, including Google Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV, in 2018 and beyond.”

“We’re excited to be working with companies like mParticle who understand that the future of news and entertainment will be based on engaging with audiences wherever they are – not through any one particular distribution channel,” said Devin Emery, VP of Research & Growth at Cheddar. “We’re looking to mParticle’s continued innovation around OTT measurement to help us get there faster.”

The launch of mParticle’s Xbox SDK furthers its strategy of empowering companies to collect data natively at the point of origin and unify data across devices and channels into a comprehensive profile, instead of relying on slower and error prone methods. mParticle’s iOS and Android SDKs are used by leading apps in more than a dozen categories. The company also offers native kits for web, Roku, Unity, Xamarin, React Native, Cordova, and other developer platforms.
