Data startup mParticle just raised $150 million as competition with Adobe and Salesforce intensifies

mParticle has raised $150 million in its Series E fundraise led by Permira Growth Opportunities.

mParticle just had its biggest fundraise ever: a $150 million Series E round, valuing the company at $800 million and bringing its total raised to $272 million.

The startup sells software called a consumer data platform, or CDP, that brands like Airbnb and Burger King use to collect customer data to build customized user experiences and show personalized ads on brands' websites and apps.
