mParticle Linting: Real-time event feedback

mParticle Linting enables you to statistically analyze code against your data plan as you develop, making it easier to adhere to your company’s data plan and ensure that high-quality data is logged to your mParticle data workspace.

customer data platform linting

Earlier this year, mParticle released the Data Master suite of data quality tools, which lets product managers, marketers and developers to work together to create data plans for their organization. A data plan is a living document that details the current ideal state of customer data collection. As your business needs change over time, your data plans can grow and adapt to change with them.

No matter how robust, however, all data plans require adherence to be effective. If developers are not given real-time feedback about the accuracy of the events they send to mParticle, there may be extra time spent by the product, marketing, and data science teams ensuring data is accurate.

To help, mParticle’s Linting tools can statically analyze code against your data plan as you develop, making it easier to adhere to your company’s data plan and ensure that high-quality data is logged to your mParticle data workspace.

To learn more about Data Master, Linting, and additional developer tools, watch the recording in to our LinkedIn Live demo session, led by the mParticle engineering team. The demo covers how you can:

  1. Create a data plan in mParticle to document the ideal state of data collection for your app.
  2. Install extensions to support linting in VSCode, XCode and Android Studio
